How do I apply to NeuronHire roles?
You can apply via our job postings (website and social media) or via candidate form; if your profile matches we’ll invite you to the vetting process.
What are the minimum requirements to join NeuronHire?
Requirements vary per role. We match your profile to the role’s needs; some roles ask seniority, others focus on hands-on skills or specific domain knowledge. Good English communication skills are non-negotiable.
Where are the roles based? Can I work remotely?
Most roles are remote / timezone-aligned; some may be location-preferred and others may require occasional travel. Details are always in the role description.
Do I need a visa to work remotely with US-based companies?
No. You'll be hired as an international contractor (not an employee), requiring no visa for remote work.
How long does the onboarding process take?
Typically 5-7 business days post-contract signing. Delays only occur if background checks or document submissions (e.g., Personal Legal Entity Documentation) are pending.
What level of English is required?
Intermediate to fluent English is usually required for international roles; we assess English during vetting to ensure team communication.
Do you offer support after placement?
Yes, we run follow-ups in the early months to ensure fit and can assist as a mediator if issues arise per the contract.
What does the vetting process look like?
Typical steps: CV screen, short call, technical exercise or live interview, peer technical interview, English check and cultural interview.
What technical assessments should I expect?
Role-specific evaluations (e.g., live coding for engineers, system design for architects). Tests mirror real tasks from the job description.
Can I request mock interviews for practice?
Yes! We offer free mock interviews with senior developers upon profile approval.
Are coding tests time-limited?
Most are 60-120 minutes long.
Will you help me prepare for interviews?
Yes, we provide guidance and pre-interview tips to help you present your technical and soft skills effectively. We also constantly post on our social media tips to prepare you for interviews.
When and how do I get paid?
Payments are usually monthly upon invoice submission, per the contract schedule (typical timing: invoice → payment within the agreed period, standard practice is early in the following month). Exact terms appear in each contract. Payments are made to a contractor-registered global bank account. NeuronHire helps set this up and acts as payment agent when needed.
Will I be paid in USD?
Payment currency depends on the client and the engagement model; many international contracts pay in USD, but specifics are confirmed in offers.
Do I need to be a legal entity?
We require contractors to invoice as a legal entity. If you don’t have one, we can advise options, but payments are processed only after required documentation is in place.
Will NeuronHire deduct anything from my pay?
The gross price in the contract covers all costs. NeuronHire may withhold pre-agreed amounts for vendor benefits (health plans, gym, administrative service fees) only if you explicitly agree and these withholdings are listed in the contract/annex.
Does NeuronHire offer benefits?
We offer optional benefit packages (examples: health plans, gym) for eligible contractors; specifics depend on the engagement and are detailed in the contract or annex. Benefits and any related deductions are clearly disclosed before signing.
Who pays for travel or expenses?
Pre-approved business travel and reasonable expenses are reimbursed by the client per the contract. Always get approval beforehand and keep receipts.
What about taxes and social contributions?
As an independent contractor you are solely responsible for all taxes, social security contributions and local compliance. Tax responsibilities depend on your legal status and local law; we can share common models and connect you with local tax partners for guidance.
Can I work for competitors?
No. Contracts include non-compete clauses. You must avoid conflicts of interest with client activities.
What happens if a client terminates a contract early?
You’ll be notified at least with a 15 days prior written notice and we prioritize finding replacement projects.
How does contract termination work?
Termination terms vary by contract. Typical clauses allow termination with 15-day prior written notice and include remedies for breach (e.g., cure periods, fines for confidentiality breaches). Read the termination section before signing.
Can I subcontract my work?
No. Contracts prohibit assignment of duties without written consent.
Who owns the IP of the work I do?
Typically the client owns the deliverables. Contracts include an IP assignment clause: by signing, you agree to assign rights to the client as defined in the specific agreement. Full terms are in the contract.
Will I be treated as an employee?
No. You are engaged as an independent contractor. You are responsible for taxes, social contributions and compliance applicable to your jurisdiction. Contracts explicitly state there is no employment relationship.
Can I work with other clients while engaged?
Usually yes, unless the contract includes exclusivity for the project. Any restrictions will be explicit in the agreement.
How are disputes or performance issues handled?
Dispute and termination procedures are in your contract; NeuronHire will help facilitate resolution between you and the client within contractual terms.
