About the Project
We are partnering with a fast-growing AI-driven software company that centralizes large-scale customer feedback data from diverse public and private sources. Their platform powers advanced analytics, insights and decision-making for global organizations. You will join the platform engineering group responsible for the end-to-end ingestion layer — a mission-critical system that ingests, normalizes and transforms data from APIs, data lakes, streaming services and web sources. This role focuses on high performance, scalability, data quality and robust distributed workflows.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of a large-scale data ingestion platform built primarily in Go.
- Design, implement and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines, async/sync APIs and distributed workflows.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, reliability and performance across ingestion pipelines and system integrations.
- Work closely with platform, application and infra teams to guarantee scalable, observable and well-monitored ingestion architecture.
- Drive improvements in infrastructure automation (IaC), monitoring and operational excellence using modern cloud-native tools.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding and mentoring engineers within the ingestion team, fostering strong engineering practices.
- Participate in architectural discussions, technical decision-making and long-term platform planning.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang).
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, but AWS/Azure experience also valid).
- Solid experience building streaming/batch data pipelines, async/sync APIs and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and observability/monitoring practices.
- Experience providing technical leadership within engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of scalability, data quality and distributed processing challenges. Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with managed messaging or streaming platforms (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, Kinesis).
- Background in web scraping or ingestion of heterogeneous data sources.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Postgres or large-scale data lake architectures.
- Previous experience in high-growth startup environments or platform teams.
