CC02 - Cloud Engineer
We are working with a fast-growing healthcare technology company building critical infrastructure for the long-term care and residential healthcare industry. The platform enables physicians and care teams to monitor, analyze, and manage the health of more than 75,000 patients daily by transforming complex Electronic Health Record (EHR) data into actionable clinical insights. The engineering team operates a modern cloud-native platform that ingests healthcare data from enterprise EHR systems into a highly available distributed data warehouse, powering analytics dashboards used directly in patient care. Reliability, security, and scalability are essential, as the platform supports healthcare professionals making decisions for patients with multiple chronic conditions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and extend a production-grade AWS infrastructure supporting healthcare data and analytics workloads.
- Own Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring environments remain reliable, secure, and easy to evolve.
- Support Kubernetes workloads running on Amazon EKS, including infrastructure upgrades, networking, scalability, and operational improvements.
- Maintain cloud networking components including VPCs, Network Load Balancers, VPC Peering, security groups, and related AWS networking services.
- Optimize compute infrastructure across EC2 instances and containerized workloads for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with software and data engineers to provide stable infrastructure for data ingestion pipelines, analytics platforms, and physician-facing applications.
- Improve infrastructure monitoring, operational visibility, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and platform resilience.
- Support authentication and cloud infrastructure integrations for modern web applications.
- Participate in infrastructure planning, architectural discussions, and long-term scalability initiatives as the healthcare platform continues to grow.
- Help maintain production environments serving mission-critical healthcare applications while following security and operational best practices.
